He encourages anglers to explore the Blackwater creeks, which will soon be less crowded, offering a great chance for wade fishing.

However, he notes that wade fishing can be particularly rewarding this time of year. As fall approaches, Drew anticipates better fishing conditions with the cooling weather and the potential for increased water flow from upstream reservoirs. He suggests trying out different fly patterns and colors as fish become more active. Drew also mentions that fall is a great time for fishing trips, with more availability due to fewer people fishing and more focus on hunting season.
