The Alabama Freshwater Fishing report is your best resource for the Lake Guntersville Fishing Report, Weiss Lake Fishing Report, Lake Eufaula Fishing Report, Mobile Tensaw Delta Fishing Report, and all the creeks, rivers, and reservoirs in between.

This week on the Alabama Freshwater Fishing Report, we’ve got Ben Levin on to talk Ozark smallmouth; and Will Strickland on to discuss how to be an effective, modern conservationist.

First up we take a visit to Arkansas to “see” America’s first National River, the Buffalo. Guide Ben Levin has been fishing the Buffalo and the surrounding hill country streams for his entire life, and gives us the scoop on what water conditions give visitors the best chances at serene floats through pristine smallmouth water. Join us as Ben discusses how to approach this beautiful, but often challenging fishery.

Next we hear from our good friend Will Strickland over at Mobile Baykeeper, who shares an update on the challenges facing anglers during high water conditions, with heavy dam releases limiting access to productive bream fishing spots. Will also reflects on his roots, reflecting on how his grandfathers passed down their love for the land through hunting and fishing long before they ever would’ve called themselves environmentalists.
