Branden Collier has what you need to know to catch more speckled trout, redfish, and tripletail and how to catch each of these species in the area. The tactics and tips we discuss here each week can be applied to many areas when fishing Alabama’s coast and other states along the Gulf of Mexico. Captain Collier has been having awesome success nearshore with mangrove snapper, Spanish mackerel, red snapper as well as other species. We talk about how he uses his side scan to set up on a wreck and what he is using for bait and rigging to have success on these nearshore reefs and rigs with the snapper and mackerel species. He has also been doing really well with the flounder still, and we talk about how to locate the desired inshore species that you’re targeting right now with the water temperatures still being pretty high, even though they seem to be decreasing just a tad as we move out of the heat of summer.
