David Thornton

David Thorton, a Mobile, Alabama native, holds a BA in Geography with minors in Geology and Biology from the University of South Alabama. With a lifelong love for fishing, he’s earned the nickname “pier pounder” and has been recognized by the Alabama Coastal Fisherman’s Association, serving as an officer since 2007. Thorton’s expertise extends to online platforms, where he moderates fishing websites and social media pages. A regular contributor to Great Days Outdoors magazine, he established a successful pier and shore guide service along the Emerald Coast in 2012, sharing his passion with clients from across the US and Canada.
