Tanner Deas

Tanner Deas, a native of Mobile, AL, is the owner and operator of “Dauphin Island Fishing Charters,” specializing in beach and wade fishing trips as well as island tours. Following a life-altering work accident, Tanner found solace and healing through fishing, initially aided by his father along the shoreline. Starting with Sheepshead fishing from a wheelchair, he progressed to exploring beaches and coves, targeting Speckled Trout, Redfish, and Flounder. Documenting his journey on Instagram under “DauphinIslandFishing,” Tanner’s passion for fishing grew alongside his physical and mental recovery. Today, he spends over 275 days a year on the water, primarily focusing on inshore species like Speckled Trout and Flounder. With a preference for artificial bait, Tanner’s love for fishing and the outdoors fuels his desire to positively impact the fishing community and the future of fisheries.
